Maestro Wieslaw Glon

Maestro Wieslaw (Wes) Glon is an internationally recognized coach and referee. He holds an M.S. from the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw, Poland. He was selected to coach two US Olympic teams. Once in 1992 for the Olympics held in Barcelona, Spain and again in 1996 at the Olympics hosted by the United States in Atlanta, Georgia. Maestro Wes served in different capacities (Coach, Team Capitan, Chef of Mission) for the U.S. World Championship Teams from 1988 -2017. Maestro Glon is currently the Head Coach of the Penn State Nittany Lion Fencing Team. The Nittany Lions have been the most dominant fencing program in NCAA history.

Adam Kaszubowski

Coach Adam Kaszubowski was an assistant coach for the Polish Olympic Team at the London Olympics in 2012. After his tenure with the Polish National Team he become the Head Coach of the National Egyptian Team between 2013-2016. Before joining the Penn State coaching staff he was a private coach at the California Fencing Academy. Adam is also recognized as being one of the best international referees who presided the finals at prestigious tournaments around the World, including the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

Gia Abashidze

Coach Gia Abashidze has been recognized as being Master of Sport in Fencing. He was the Coach of the Georgian Team . Prior to coming to Penn State inĀ  he also was assistant coach at OSU.

Coach Chuck

Coach Chuck has been assistant to Coach Glon for the Scholastic Fencing League for 13 years. Coach Chuck was on the Penn State fencing team and brings both knowledge and great passion for teaching the art of fencing. He also has his own fencing club in Altoona.
